Nicole responds to Lily Allen's Diss

Lily Allen has made many enemies in the past, including Elton John, Bob Geldof, Aussie rockers Jet and Katy Perry to name a few, but it seems like the Pussycat Dolls refuse to be a part of that list, even after one of her latest outbursts.

When asked by take40.com about the negative influence swearing in her songs might have on small children, Lily said she thought the effect of the US girl group The Pussycat Dolls was much worse.

"You know what, I'd rather they listened to that and swore than they watched a Pussycat Dolls video and took their clothes off," Lily told take40.com.

But the ever diplomatic Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls has only nice things to say about Lily when take40.com spoke to her recently.

"My response would have to be that I'm just really stoked that she even knows who the Pussycat Dolls are," Nicole said, giving us a thumbs up.

"I'm a huge fan of Lily Allen's and um, that's all I have to say about that," she added with a restrained smile.

Read between the lines!

ergh. Lily fucking Allen. do love Nicole's response go girl :)

Learning on Tour
Kimberly Wyatt | June 10, 2009

Traveling around the world and dancing in different countries teaches you a lot about culture. I’ve traveled to most every continent and had the pleasure of sharing my passion and art with many. I’ve performed for fans that barely speak English and sometimes for fans that don’t understand it at all quite often. But the joy and excitement you feel, no matter what the venue is, never changes. I’ve left many performances in foreign countries with a new outlook and understanding for lives so different from my own.

I have a fond memory of dancing in Malaysia a few years ago. Malaysia is a country whose people typically adhere to the Muslim religion. Women are often seen dressed in long black robes revealing nothing but their eyes. Our first hint of their conservative nature should have been at the airport when we were asked to cover our toes, shoulders, and knees. But since being on tour for quite sometime we were prepared to do our normal show dressed in our typical Pussycat Doll costumes.

To ensure the concert wasn’t cancelled due to rain in such a tropical climate the promoter of the show hired a tribe of people to do a rain dance. Allegedly the tribe would perform their dance the afternoon of the show and that night the performance would be rain free. It has been said that on many occasions the entire island would get strong rain on show nights but the concert area would remain dry. The tribe is so confident that their ritual works that they promise the concert promoter their money back if it rains.

The night of our show in Malaysia we stepped on stage with excitement and gratitude for such a beautiful stage, stunning night, and awesome crowd. The night sky was filled with a big, bright full moon and stars that filled the sky. The next morning we woke up to a newspaper headline stating, to our surprise, we had been banned from the country of Malaysia. Our tour costumes showed shoulders as well as the belly button, which was forbidden. My jaw dropped in disbelief and confusion. But I left with a new understanding of the importance of becoming familiar with foreign culture. Take the initiative to know what to expect when traveling and performing in other countries.

Years later we were invited back to Malaysia for the MTV Asia Awards. A stipulation in place to approve that our cleavage and tummy were covered as well as wearing pants. The show was a success once again and was broadcast on televisions all across Asia. Thankfully we found our way back to acceptance from people of Muslim faith.

I find myself in Asia at this present time and still face the scrutiny of our costumes in many regions. Press conferences held in Korea, Indonesia, and the Philippines address the issue. Our truth is that the show must go on and although costumes are a big part of what makes a show so fun to watch, in order to reach all of our fans we are willing to make changes. Having more knowledge on culture and religions in countries we had never set foot before would have saved us from the scrutiny we face today.

Last show in Asia

Manila is the last show in Asia.

Kim's vlog and blog

Kim posted a new blog and vlog

You call yourself a spiritual/religious person yet the choices you make are pure evil. You dwell in breaking others spirits because misery loves company. But I won’t let you get the best of me. My role in life was chosen for me, it is my bigger purpose and I have much responsibility that goes along with it. I have a gift. My truth and honesty moves people and the bigger picture means I can move mountains. I know my purpose in life is huge. I know my role is a stepping-stone for what’s to come and in the big scheme of things is a true blessing. I’m not hungry for fame, connection yes but fame no.

I’ve learned many lessons through self-perseverance. I know that the work on ourselves is one of the most important jobs we have. We owe it to ourselves. Whatever we leave not fixed becomes poison in our lives and then becomes the person that we are. Our choices create our character. Who do you want to be?

Flaws become our differences. The way we embrace them is what confidence becomes. When we live from a rotten core, too blind to see the light of day, we isolate ourselves from everything real, normal, and beautiful life has to offer. Not one person in this world is “perfect”. I may feel broken from time to time but I always do my best. When others feel broken I do my best to have compassion and when it calls for it, empathy.

Nobody’s actions in life are personal. Everything is based from our own perceptions. We create our own realities. We hold on to situations and judge them from what it makes us feel. There are sad people in this world. You can’t save them, only they can save themselves. But we can use the situations and feelings they stir in us to propel us to a better future.

I came to the conclusion that love and compassion is my religion a couple of years ago. As I see strong believers in a faith around me make less then what I perceive as moral choices, I grow further and further away from what truth I once tried to understand in them. The only control we have in life is control over ourselves and the only way to change people is to lead by example. To be the example of happiness you must stand your ground and always act on your truth and honesty.

The people around us are the key to knowledge. By being the observers in our own lives we can take lessons home with us every night. Some people lead by a good example others lead by negative choice driven by manipulation, greed and ego. By being aware of all that goes on in our own worlds we have the choice to create our own life. We create our own set of beliefs through our own religion. Does it make a difference what religion we follow? Isn’t the basic idea of religion a guideline to leading a happy life? Then why do people of faith look down upon people that ask questions? I understand believing in something much bigger then we are but in what way does a person of lesser understanding for the bible become unworthy?
